THE COMEBACK OF THE ACTIVE TIGHTS
Stoney Creek is listening to the feedback of the Sisterhood community and bringing back the OG version of the Active Tights to be the familiar fit without any compromise on features. Available online and in-store this weekend.
The Stoney Creek Sisterhood range was born after our Head of Design, Sarah Macdonald, in her young and green years as a keen huntress, came to discover the lack (or complete absence) in Women’s specific hunting apparel.
“I remember preparing for the hunt a few days before, wondering what on earth to wear. I can still clearly recall venturing into the local outdoor hiking store and buying a par of baggy men’s cotton cargo pants because I thought the pockets would be useful. Then I bought some blaze camo fleece from the fabric shop and made myself a bush tee.” said Sarah about the revelation that sparked a change in her career path.
Fast forward to today, Sarah develops and designs the gear that herself and the growing Sisterhood community puts to its test on a daily basis. BUILT TO FIT – FIT FOR PURPOSE is the Women’s specific range within Stoney Creek that covers all categories across hunting, rural and sport fishing equal to the Men’s range. Wanting to embrace the difference in physiology between men and women, Stoney Creek creates purpose-built gear for the curves of the female body to MAXIMISE YOUR EXPERIENCE.
The beloved Sisterhood SC Active Tights evidently hit the spot when they were brought to market in 2018 and have since become a phenomenon amongst the female hunting and rural communities in and around New Zealand. So popular that women made sure to get them in every colour, started using them for all things outdoor and around the house. It was with great excitement when the Team at Stoney Creek in April of 2021 brought out a new and improved version of the tights.
The added pocket feature was received very well but the new size grading, however, did not hit the mark. After various reviews, trials and alterations, Stoney Creek has decided to bring back the Original SC Active Tights, purpose-built to provide flexibility, comfort and breathability for the active female outdoor enthusiast, now with the pocket feature for at-hand convenience – ideal for securing keys, phone, cards or other essentials.
So, to the sisters of the Stoney Creek Sisterhood community: thank you for your ongoing support and feedback! From now on, the SC Active Tights will be the familiar fit, just how you like them.
